Pendle Leisure Trust
Pendle Leisure Trust are the major provider of sport, arts, entertainment and health and community programmes throughout the Pendle area. When the main sports hall floor at the Pendle Leisure complex in Colne near Manchester needed replacing, CRT Flooring were responsible for the installation of the 540m2 Gerflor Taraflex® Evolution vinyl sports flooring.
One of the main constraints was that real need to complete the works around the current use of the facility with minimum downtime which CRT Flooring delivered on.
On completion of the works the client stated that ‘the sports flooring has really exceeded our expectations’.
The flooring was completed on budget and within the required timescales.

Tottington High School
Client: Tottington High School – CRT where approached by the school directly to provide a specification for the replacement of the flooring to the sports hall. CRT supplied and fitted 750m2 of Uzin Gold Moisture Control Screed prior to the installation of Polyflor Sports 67 Sports Floor. We also arranged and contracted a line marking contractor to create 4 badminton courts, 1 basketball court, 1 5-aside football pitch, 1 Tennis court and 1 Netball pitch. This project was completed in 5 working days and on completion we where approached by Polyflor’s marketing team to take photographs of the completed hall.
Ribbleton & Brierfield Libraries
Client: Lancashire County Council – CRT supplied and fitted resin DPM and latex screed prior to installing Polyflor Forest FX, Forbo Flowtex and Burmatex Carpet Tiles.
Britenshaw High School
Client: Seddon Construction Ltd – Value: £72,000 – This project was a new build school which had a sub floor of Gyvlon screed and underfloor heating. CRT where required to put together a specification which would work with the under floor heating and Gyvlon screed which could also be completed in a time frame of six weeks. CRT worked with the site agents, QS and contracts manager along with Lafarge Gyvlon and Forbo Eurocol. We supplied technical advice and testing of the screed to achieve the correct sub floor preparation. CRT Supplied and fitted a gypsum based screed, loose lay isolator membrane to allow the sub floor to continue to dry out once the finishes of Polyflor wood FX acoustic, Polyflor Sports 80 Sports Flooring, Polysafe Standard and Burmatex Acadamy Carpet Tiles had been fitted.
Royal Preston Hospital
Client: NHS Royal Preston Hospital – Approx. 300m2 of Polyflor Forest FX and Polyflor Mystique with Cap & Cove former. This was a phased project working with the Theatre staff whilst the surrounding Theatres remained live. The project was completed on time.
Eccleston Health Centre
Client: NHS – 500m2 DPM, Latex Screed and Various floor finishes including Polyflor Forest FX, Polyflor classic Mystique and Polysafe Corona. All fitted with inset boarder with Cap & Cove former also interface Carpet tiles to office areas. Project was completed on time.
Longridge Health Centre
Client: Central Lancashire PCT – 500m2 of Forbo Marmoleum with inset boarder and Cap & Cove. CRT had to work 24hrs a day to complete this job within a four day shut down. Works included the uplift all the old Carpet, Screeding and the fitting of the the new flooring. The job was handed back on time clean and ready for use. This project was the first project other than small maintenance works which we had carried out directly for the trust. The project was managed by FWP Architects. The standard of work along with the planning and communication CRT provided on this project gained the confidence the Trust and architects needed to use on future projects and also recommend CRT to other Trusts etc.
Parklands High School
Client: KGM Builders Ltd – CRT supplied and fitted a motif featuring the national flags and landmark buildings from five European countries were designed by pupils in collaboration with Polyflor’s Expression Design Service.
Birleywood Health Centre
Client: NHS – 300m2 of Polyflor Forest FX and Pearlazzo with a Resin DPM. Works included uplift of old flooring and Screeding. All works where completed out of normal working hours. The job was handed back after 2 weeks which was a week ahead of the issued programme of works.
